Basic Life and AD&D Insurance

United Electric provides Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage for all full-time employees. The benefit equals 1.5 times your annual base earnings up to a maximum of $50,000. Coverage reduces at ages 65 and 70. This benefit helps protect your family financially if something unexpected happens.

Short Term Disability (STD)

United Electric provides Short Term Disability coverage at no cost to employees. STD replaces 66.67 percent of your weekly pre-disability earnings up to $2,500 per week if you cannot work due to a non-work-related illness or injury. Benefits begin after a 14 day elimination period and may continue for up to 24 weeks.
