Eligibility

Your medical benefits begin on the first of the month following 60 days from your date of hire. All other benefits begin on the first of the month following your 90th day of employment. Part-time employees are not eligible to participate.

If you don’t enroll by the date when your benefits will go into effect, you will not have the opportunity to do so until the next open enrollment period, unless you have a Qualifying Life Event.

Coverage will end at the end of the month following date of termination or resignation.

Eligible dependents include:

  • Your legal spouse. If your spouse is employed and offered medical coverage by their employer, they are not eligible for coverage under the United Electric plan.

  • Your children up to age 26. Only those dependents who meet the eligibility requirements can enroll for coverage.
